Description The Shipping & Receiving Clerk supports daily cross-dock operations at our San Diego facility, which processes inbound and outbound loads daily. This role ensures accurate receiving, efficient product flow, and timely loading/unloading activities while maintaining exceptional accuracy and communication. The Clerk works closely with the San Diego team, local carriers, internal warehouse leadership, and the Tijuana production/traffic teams to keep freight moving safely, quickly, and correctly. When administrative and documentation tasks are complete, this position actively joins the loading team to support unloading and reloading trailers. Job Responsibilities: Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers’ count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing team as required Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments Carefully and accurately maintains shipping records for requested categories including goods returned, damages, and returnable product Maintains database of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments as required Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions Completes information on damage claims for in-transit damage Performs other clerical duties as assigned Scanning of all signed Bill of Ladings daily. Upload all Bill of Ladings to ERP system once scanned Sends any additions or cancellations of any EDI customer Prints out all production schedule sheets and all the load lists of each load on every schedule Takes calls/messages as point of contact for warehouse location Requirements Bilingual- Spanish speaking required High school diploma or equivalent preferred State motor vehicle operator’s permit for operation of forklift highly preferred 3+ years of experience in: shipping, clerical, dispatching and general warehouse are recommended Basic understanding of shipping and warehouse procedures Good organizational skills and attention to detail Exemplary customer care skills Detail-oriented and multitasking skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software (ERP) to maintain records, input data, and create reports
