General Description: This position is responsible for preparing and processing shipments and outgoing mail, conducting facility maintenance and receiving facility deliveries. Core Duties and Responsibilities: * Verifies and records incoming and outgoing shipments * Prepares items for shipments * Compares identifying information and counts * Weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records * Determines best method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates * Prepares packages for shipment; includes assembling containers, packaging, securing closure and affixing labels * Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify issues * Routes items to internal departments * Maintains inventory of shipping materials, marketing materials and product * Assists with facilities maintenance as needed * Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position * Additional duties as assigned Position Requirements: * HS diploma * Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds * Ability to stand and/or walk the majority of shift * 1+ years in a mail/shipping environment a plus
