Description
SAIC is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk for our Hanahan, SC location. The S&R Clerk must have Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures concerning stocking tasks such as receipts, invoices, weights, updating of inventory, inspection, methods of storage, etc. The position will involve receiving, unpacking materials/supplies and reporting damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record keeping purposes; and completing shipping and receiving reports. The candidate must move parts and assemblies within or between various buildings in accordance with Facility manager or facility staff engineer priorities and arrange transfer of materials to meet production schedules; examine material to verify type specified for current project; and compute amount of material needed for specific job orders. Must be able to safely complete all of the physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to the following: o Lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis. o Walking, bending, stooping, sitting, standing or squatting for extended periods o Walk distances of at least one-half mile daily. Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma/ GED and two (2) + years of experience Must be a UC Citizen with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance Must have a valid driver's license
