Job Description The Shipping/Receiving Clerk supports logistics operations by coordinating shipments, managing shipping documentation, and maintaining accurate records within ERP and Warehouse Management Systems. This role works closely with carriers, drivers, customer service, and warehouse teams to ensure timely, compliant, and efficient shipment processing. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers and drivers, including gate coordination and documentation Schedule inbound and outbound shipments and coordinate truck appointments Prepare and review shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Certificates of Analysis (COAs) Verify order accuracy using pick sheets and FIFO inventory practices Use ERP/WMS systems to process shipping transactions and maintain accurate shipment records Generate shipping reports, track shipments, and communicate status updates to internal stakeholders Monitor inventory of shipping supplies and communicate replenishment needs to leadership Audit shipping transactions and documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance Collaborate with customer service, operations, and carriers to resolve shipping issues and improve efficiency Follow company safety, food safety, environmental, and GMP policies and support additional site needs as required Willingness and ability to work required overtime Qualifications Qualifications Education: Minimum of high school diploma or GED required. Related Experience: 1–3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse coordination, or administrative support within a distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred. Experience with shipment documentation, carrier coordination, or inventory systems is a plus. Equipment/Software Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word). Experience with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip or similar platforms) preferred. Additional Information Competencies Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Basic math skills required for shipment verification, counts, and documentation Strong written communication skills with the ability to complete clear and accurate documentation Ability to communicate professionally with drivers, carriers, and internal teams Additional information Physical: Must be able to walk throughout the plant, to include walking and climbing up/downstairs. Must have be ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally is required and must be able to wear a respirator required. Sensory: Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual, hearing, speaking, smell and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal, abnormal and alarm conditions (chemicals, temperature, etc.) Mental/Reasoning: Must be able to analyze information quickly to provide feedback in the manufacturing process and troubleshoot equipment failures.
