Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effective platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. A Shipping and Receiving Clerk is needed by Stratolaunch Systems in Mojave California to help establish and maintain a Property Control System, provide management of Stratolaunch assets as well as manage the Shipping and Receiving Department. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk must be detail-oriented and accept primary responsibility for ensuring all property tracking systems comply with government contracting and ITAR requirements and are compatible with corporate accounting standards. The successful candidate will have the skills to be able to operate a forklift, move boxes and furniture, and perform light maintenance. Stratolaunch relies on a complex network of contractors and subcontractors, and this individual must demonstrate emotional intelligence and an appreciation for clarity, tact, and professionalism. This position will be critical to the expansion of operations in Mojave, and this individual needs to have a customer-service mentality to support Stratolauch’s off-site staff and partners. The ideal candidate will have experience in safety and handling of hazardous materials, as well as a strong background in project management, with some college or professional certificates. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Oversees incoming/outgoing shipments for identification and damage Coordinates and confirms receipt/shipping documentation for internal/external customers Serves as point of contact for priority incoming/outgoing shipments Identifies carrier for shipments and coordinates requirements Verifies accuracy of incoming/outgoing shipment Identifies and resolves shipping/receiving discrepancies This position is expected to be 100% onsite REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS More than 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, shipping or customer service environment More than 1 year of experience in receiving, storing, picking, kitting, and shipping processes Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift lift capacity) or related equipment Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. military experience, vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.) Export Control Requirements: U.S. Government Export Control Status: This position must meet export control compliance requirements PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS More than 1 year of experience working with inventory control software More than 1 year of experience working multiple tasks with differing levels of importance More than 1 year of experience military and commercial packaging, handling, shipping and transportation of equipment and Dangerous Goods More than 1 year of experience working with various material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and cranes More than 1 year of experience operating forklifts (under 15,000-lb. lift capacity) or related equipment Special remarks regarding work environment, if applicable This position is located in Mojave, CA Occasional travel required
