  UDT is a technology enabler that helps clients in major industries evaluate, architect, provide, secure, and manage technology on the go, in the rack and in the cloud. UDT provides technical, professional, cyber security and managed services.   This is a full-time position located in Orlando, FL. The Shipping Clerk, 2nd Shift plays a key role in supporting UDT’s customer product shipping process at the Integration Center in Orlando, FL, and is part of the Lifecycle Services solution. People in this role are part of a team that is accountable for pulling and staging all finished products that are on schedule for delivery through the various shipment carriers utilized (UDT Truck, parcel shipments and freight shipments). Persons in this role must possess extraordinary attention to detail with an understanding of safe product handling techniques and proper preparation of inventory methodologies in accordance with UDT and industry standards. Shipping Clerk - 2nd Shift Responsibilities: * Responsible for executing as part of a team the daily shipment preparations necessary for customer product to ship out or be prepared for shipment according to daily schedule requirements. * Responsible for verification of physical hardware standards in accordance with previously defined methodologies for customer product delivery quality. * Responsible for physically pulling proper order accessories and finished product to stage on freight dock in proper order to facilitate proper load by drivers in the morning, in order of delivery stop. * Responsible for collaboration with Shipping Lead position to ensure accurate preparation of all shipped product leaving for the following day, according to a shipping schedule for both outgoing 3rd party freight, Parcel, and UDT delivery truck. * Responsible for following established pick, pack, and process steps in accordance with UDT standards for record keeping and quality control. * Accountable for generating record of Proof of Delivery sheet generation for upload for UDT driver use and sign off on every order shipped. * Responsible for final confirmation of accuracy of order integrity and communication to leadership of any discrepancies discovered during physical pull and staging efforts. * Accountable for maintenance of proper UPS/FedEx shipping records for internal UDT accounting usage. Qualifications * High School Degree or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in warehouse and/or shipping environments and systems OR * A combination of education and experience of equivalent time frame demonstrating similar skillsets applicable for the above listed responsibilities * Demonstrated knowledge and comfortability working with computer systems and hardware, along with basic understanding of computer operating system concepts. * Ability to work standing and bending for full shift, performing repetitive pulling, counting, and organizational procedures during peak volume days. * Strong Process Orientation and Attention to Detail. * Strong inventory skills in order to maintain counts and analysis as well as ability to generate and read report * Forklift certification or ability to become forklift certified preferred. Required Skills: * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Ability to Read, Analyze and understand work order workflows and instructions. * Ability to work independently without direct, constant management to execute on a plan. * Ability to confidently operate laptop, desktop and tablet computers. * Ability to discern instructions from workflows and work orders to execute desired outcomes. * Ability to communicate with other departments to manage flow of goods volume in preparation for staging needs for outgoing product. * Ability to work 2nd shift hours, weekends, and at times into the later hours of the day as per business needs. * Must be able to physically lift weight up to 50 pounds. * Ability to operate manual pallet jack is required. * Ability to be polite and use diplomacy in difficult situations when working with a widely varied landscape of personnel types on a daily basis. * Must be able to read and understand English instructions. * Make proper assertions as to the safe handling and care of new, customer equipment, and maintaining the integrity of items as brand new through movement, organization, and storage. * Maintain acceptable levels of quality control to ensure safety and quality standards are met. * Adherence to all generally accepted safety protocols and procedures in mixed office/warehouse environment. * Capable of reviewing a project/task requirement and execute as part of a team of shipping clerks. * Must be able to review packaged/prepared product and evaluate packaging integrity to ensure safe delivery via chosen medium for customer orders.
