JOB SUMMARY:

The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily shipping and receiving activities within the warehouse. This includes verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate records, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in logistics or supply chain preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with shipping software, ERP systems, and inventory management tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items and operate warehouse equipment.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Forklift certification.
• Experience with shipping and customs documentation.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.

• Coordinate and monitor all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Verify shipment contents against purchase orders, bills of lading, and packing lists.
• Prepare shipping documents and labels for outgoing goods.
• Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and freight companies.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies and report issues.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and inventory movements.
• Communicate with warehouse staff, vendors, and logistics teams to ensure timely processing.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
