Description
Position Description: Perform duties to prepare and execute the shipment and receipt of product, raw materials and supplies.  Primary Responsibilities: * Load and unload materials from inbound and outbound trucks * Schedule dock appointments with customers and third-party carriers * Verify condition and quantity of materials being shipped or received * Move, store, stack and deliver materials and products to designated storage or production areas * Update inventory system by scanning product in and out of rack and warehouse locations * Conduct and complete trailer inspections and documentation * Operate material handling equipment  * Conduct weekly and monthly cycle counts of inventory * Conduct on-the-job training of co-workers as needed * Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations * Maintain a safety-minded attitude that supports the Company’s safety culture * Performs other duties as assigned   Supervisory/Management Responsibilities: * None   Requirements: * Able to speak, read and write English * Prior forklift and walker experience  * Basic math skills * Basic working knowledge of computers and programs related to email and database management * Able to work overtime and weekends as needed * Valid Driver's License   Physical Requirements: * Able to lift 50 lbs. daily, approximately 5% of each day * Able to life/move more than 50 lbs. and up to 500 lbs. a few times per month * Able to walk/stand approximately 8 hours per day * This is a union position and comes with benefits provided by the union, upon completion of the 90 day probationary period. Responsibilities
The employee will manage the shipment and receipt of products, including loading/unloading trucks and scheduling dock appointments. They are also responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through scanning and cycle counts while ensuring a safe work environment.
