Description
Position Description: Perform duties to prepare and execute the shipment and receipt of product, raw materials and supplies.  Primary Responsibilities: * Load and unload materials from inbound and outbound trucks * Schedule dock appointments with customers and third-party carriers * Verify condition and quantity of materials being shipped or received * Move, store, stack and deliver materials and products to designated storage or production areas * Update inventory system by scanning product in and out of rack and warehouse locations * Conduct and complete trailer inspections and documentation * Operate material handling equipment  * Conduct weekly and monthly cycle counts of inventory * Conduct on-the-job training of co-workers as needed * Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations * Maintain a safety-minded attitude that supports the Company’s safety culture * Performs other duties as assigned   Supervisory/Management Responsibilities: * None   Requirements: * Able to speak, read and write English * Prior forklift and walker experience  * Basic math skills * Basic working knowledge of computers and programs related to email and database management * Able to work overtime and weekends as needed * Valid Driver's License   Physical Requirements: * Able to lift 50 lbs. daily, approximately 5% of each day * Able to life/move more than 50 lbs. and up to 500 lbs. a few times per month * Able to walk/stand approximately 8 hours per day * This is a union position and comes with benefits provided by the union, upon completion of the 90 day probationary period. Benefits include: medical, vision and dental as well as 1 week of paid time off after 1 year of employment.
