Description Reports to: Operations Manager Supervises: None Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly Purpose of Position: The Shipping & Receiving Lead has primary responsibility for ensuring the accurate, efficient, and safe flow of materials and finished product through the Lebanon facility. This role coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, oversees staging and inventory rotation, and maintains organized, compliant storage areas. Essential Duties: Coordinate and perform receiving activities, including unloading, palletizing, verifying deliveries, and entering receipts in NAV. Oversee shipping activities, including picking and staging orders, wrapping pallets, verifying labels/codes, and loading outbound trucks. Ensure accurate inventory management, including FIFO rotation, documentation, and tracking of losses. Assign tasks and provide guidance to shipping and receiving team members as needed. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and trailers safely and efficiently; ensure equipment, pallets, and trailers are in good repair. Maintain clean, orderly, and compliant storage areas, docks, and warehouses. Communicate operational issues or needs to the Operations Manager. Support food safety compliance and complete required documentation accurately. Perform other duties and leadership responsibilities as assigned. Work Schedule: Typical hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Two 10-minute paid breaks and a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. Requirements Completion of general safety and basic food safety training (provided by WEF). Training in electric pallet jack and forklift operation (provided by WEF). Steel-toed or composite toe shoes required (WEF provides a shoe compensation plan) Accurate data entry skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Valid driver’s license preferred. Ability to read, speak, and write in English. Ability to interpret and follow SOPs, manuals, and policies. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee is regularly required to move about the facility. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (egg boxes). The employee is required to seek assistance in the lifting of more than 50 pounds, or use a forklift to lift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, soaps and/or chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to cold, and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
