THE POSITION The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for the accurate, secure, and compliant handling of incoming and outgoing materials and finished firearms within a pistol manufacturing facility. This role ensures all shipments meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols while supporting production, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery. Requirements Shipping: Prepare and ship finished pistols, components, and materials in compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations Accurately package, label, and document outbound shipments Process shipments using ERP/WMS and carrier systems Verify orders for accuracy, completeness, and quality prior to shipment Coordinate with production, quality, and compliance teams to meet shipping deadlines Receiving: Receive inbound materials, parts, and supplies Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and proper documentation Log received materials into inventory systems and route items to appropriate departments Report discrepancies, shortages, or damages promptly Inventory & Compliance: Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and audits Ensure proper handling, storage, and tracking of serialized firearms and controlled components Follow ATF, ITAR (if applicable), and internal compliance procedures Maintain chain-of-custody and documentation accuracy at all times Safety & Facility Standards Adhere to all safety, security, and facility access protocols Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment Properly handle firearms and components according to company training and policies Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in an active environment. Shipping/Receiving experience is preferred. Good understanding of personal computers and Microsoft Office programs (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook) Salesforce and/or CRM experience preferred and experienced with data and customer order entry. General comfort learning new software systems as necessary to accomplish goals. Innovative and solution-minded, Customer Obsessed attitude Knowledge of firearms is a plus.
