Position Title: Shipping/Receiving Team Member Department: Operations Reports To: General Manager FLSA Status: Nonexempt Position Purpose and Objectives America’s Thrift Stores is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Team Member to join our dynamic team! Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Roles and Responsibilities Accurately count, weigh, and measure incoming and outgoing shipments Ensure timely delivery of materials to designated locations Record material movements and weights in the appropriate tracking system Identify and report discrepancies, including shortages or overages Safely operate material handling equipment while following PPE guidelines Assist customers and donors at the store donation center as needed Perform additional duties as assigned by management Skills and Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Basic math skills required Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Understanding of and adherence to company policies and procedures Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to maintain accurate records and communicate progress Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Successful completion of background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Competencies Never: 0% | Occasionally: 1–33% | Frequently: 34–66% | Continuously: 67–100% Physical Demands Frequently: Carrying up to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs., lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing up to 14 feet, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, handling, and smelling Frequently: Walking on tile/concrete, bending, reaching (waist and overhead), and feeling Continuously: Standing, talking, seeing, and hearing Work Environment & Schedule Primarily daytime hours, including weekends, with occasional evenings and holidays as needed Work performed both indoors (semi-controlled temperatures) and outdoors in varying weather conditions Additional Information This job description is intended to provide an overview of the role and is not a comprehensive list of all duties and responsibilities.
