For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home. Who The Client Is: Established in 2000, the company began by introducing a successful snack product to major Australian retailers. Since then, it has grown into a family-led business focused on sourcing, developing, and supplying high-quality snack products. Role Overview: The Shipping Specialist reports to the GM of Finance and Operations. This role manages the end-to-end movement of stock from suppliers to customers, including purchase orders, drop shipping, and coordination with suppliers and freight forwarders. The role ensures timely deliveries, accurate documentation, and regular updates to management on order status, delays, and stock availability. On most days, you are expected to be available around 7:00 PM Australian time, with two days requiring a shift starting at 8:30 AM Australian time. Key Responsibilities: International Purchase Order management, placing orders and providing information to management regarding status of orders Management of drop ship process from PO placement with supplier to invoicing of customer Liaise with suppliers and freight forwarders on timely delivery of stock ordered and ensure all relevant paperwork is prepared accurately and forwarded to the relevant parties in a timely manner for all locations to ensure no delays at customs (Australia, Canada, US and NZ) Provide information to Management regarding stock delays or shortages Work with US office on tracking status of orders and deliveries as required Update ERP with all Purchase Order changes on a timely basis Other tasks as required 7+ years experience in Logistics and shipping, preferably in FMCG Tertiary qualification In Commerce, Supply Chain or International Business Experience with multi-currency ERP software Team player with strong focus on attention to detail Proactive, able to multi task and strong work ethic Excellent verbal and written communication skills Work Arrangement & Expectations: This is a remote role that will be set up via an Employer of Record (EOR) service.
