GENERAL PURPOSE: The Shipping Specialist I is responsible for pre boarding and boarding loans to servicer portal after loans funds. Making sure collateral package is received, reviewed, and shipped to custodian. As well as trailing documents are delivered to the custodian and/or investor. In this position, you will: Contact title company directly after loan funds to gather tracking information for closing and collateral package and enter tracking information on our tracking system. Scan documents into system of record, check-in collateral/closing package on our spreadsheet and properly store closing documents in mail room. Review and cure any exceptions found during the collateral review. Communicates collateral exceptions with necessary departments. Document post-closing tracking of any exceptions found and update as they are cleared. Send manifest of collateral and/or trailing to custodian or investors of that day’s shipment. Gather pre-boarding documents and deliver boarding documents to servicer; enter missing documents in the tracking system. Manage exceptions issued by servicer and/or investors pertaining to trailing document items. Communicate and escalate any issues to SSIII. Supports development of peers and self. Additional tasks as needed. Requirements Successful candidates will possess: Associates’ Degree from an accredited college required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or a combination of education and experience. 1-2 years of mortgage banking or mortgage post-closing experience preferred.
