Merchology seeks a Shipping Specialist to join our Operations team. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Shipping Specialist primarily conducts transactions to ship and fulfill orders to customers. This role also assists with basic receiving and inventory functions based on business needs. At times, they may cross over to back up other specialist roles in receiving and production areas. We have full-time and seasonal roles available (seasonal starting in October and completing in January). PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES A successful Shipping Specialist will: Accurately generate shipping labels and packing slips Sort packages into proper area for shipping Help to maintain a clean, safe and organized workspace and warehouse. Foster a culture of respect and care for people by demonstrating trust, respect, and support for all members of the team. Assist with all other tasks as needed Requirements Ability to stand for 7-9 hours per day. High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds. Basic computer skills to read and print work orders as needed. Ability to differentiate between colors to select proper packing materials for MerchBoxes. Standing or walking for duration of workshift. Knowledge of English language to understand safety and training requirements and processing of work orders. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience working in a manufacturing setting.
