The Shipping Team Leader is responsible for coordinating activities of the shipping department and supervising workers responsible for picking product, preparing it for shipping, and preparing the proper paperwork to ensure the shipment reaches its destination. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: SHIPPING & RECEIVING RESPONSIBILITIES Greet truck drivers, set up loads for shipment, COAs, BOLs, paperwork, and seals Validate truck driver numbers against X3, ensure correct loads are shipped Oversee and manage receiving loads at all Pemberville facilities, validate PO’s in X3, and ensure correct loads are received Fax completed BOL’s to Logistics Department Assist forklift drivers with order issues Work with Customer Service to resolve issues with order accuracy, changes, load weights, and other issues Work with Warehouse Supervisor to resolve load scheduling and trailer inspection problems Request for replenishment of inventory from other sites based on order requirements, if needed Receive labels according to procedure – [Collect and forward label samples] Manage dent pallets and shipments Train forklift drivers as needed to assist the Warehouse supervisor Manage inventory according to FIFO or specific order needs Communicate forklift repair needs and other problems to Warehouse Supervisor LABEL LINE RESPONSIBILITIES Organize and communicate with label line product pull and store locations in accordance with FIFO and/or order needs Create and report work orders for label line OTHER ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Report any/all employee issues to Warehouse Supervisor Communicate safety hazards to Warehouse Supervisor Ensure that drivers keep aisles, driveways, rows, trash cans and docks clean Monitor condition of dumpster and communicate issues to Warehouse Supervisor EMPLOYEE EXPECTATIONS Commitment to our purpose and core values Demonstrates consistent punctuality and reliability by arriving no later than the scheduled shift start time and remaining on-site until all direct reports have completed their work and safely exited the building.
