POSITION SUMMARY:

Understanding and meeting the needs of the customers (internal essential, external customers critical) to support the long-term success of Industry Products Co. To accomplish this success, this position must strive for defect-free work in order to complete error-free part shipments supporting IPC customers by meeting all packaging, labeling and documentation requirements. This position must be able to adjust to changes in customer requirements, and continually improve our processes and the effectiveness of our quality management system.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Required paperwork Generate load sheets and queries daily as needed
  • Create and print shippers, customer labels, address labels, export documentation, master packing lists, bar code labels as required
  • Generate and complete 9error-free) required paper work for all shipments which includes samples, trials, etc. (Bills of Lading, manifests, supplemental manifests, airbills, packing slips, returnable inventory lists, miscellaneous shippers, customer required certifications or shipment identification, UPS/FedEx shipment documentation, etc.)
  • Generate, create and manage customer order manifests, kanban cards, bar code labels or other shipment identification as necessary
  • Contact QA for documentation as needed (IPP tags, part certifications, etc.)
  • Work with MIS on new or revised computer software/hardware shipping processes
  • Assembling Freight Repetitive pulling/maneuvering/lifting containers of parts weighing up to 35 lbs * Pull stock per customer requirements listed on queries, load sheets, fax, or manifest
  • Ensure all required labels, tags, manifests or other customer product identification are accurate and properly affixed to containers or skids as required
  • Put proper paperwork inside of containers as needed
  • Utilize bar code scanner applications
  • Wrap or plastic band skids as required
  • Pull and stock finished goods to ensure FIFO is maintained
  • Log outgoing shipping containers as required
  • Provide inventory control specialist information about stock discrepancies
  • Update external perpetual labels as required
  • Complete shipment audit process to ensure shipment identification and quantity match customer order requirements
  • Primary responsibility to ensure error-free part shipment to support 100% on-time delivery performance to the customer
  • Schedule carrier pickups for customer shipments Schedule timely LTL/TL truck pick-up to support 100% on-time customer delivery
  • Fax information to carriers and/or customer as required
  • Load/unload trucks Inspect trailers for safe entry * Safely and efficiently unload empty returnable containers or other items; safely and efficiently load all outbound part shipments. Must be completed within customer/carrier window time allotment
  • Ensure part shipment is complete per order requirements. All parts, containers, skids must be loaded – critical to IPC customer performance measurements for on-time and complete delivery
  • Ensure carrier driver signs and receives all shipment documentation required
  • Process documentation for IPC internal invoicing and consolidation of shipment requirements
  • Execute computer required shipping tasks Work with various computer software applications (i.e. MAPICS, Future III, Microsoft Word, Excel) necessary for this job
  • Perform multi-task assignments within MAPICS and Future III to create, manage and execute required tasks supporting part shipments, and be able to reconcile shipments as required
  • Create and manage shippers, labels, ASN’s, export documentation and other related tasks
  • Utilize customer internet portal programs to create and manage shipping processes as required
  • Acquire and maintain internet capability per IPC internet policy
  • Work with MIS and customer service to ensure process completes successfully, and implement new customer or IPC driven programs to improve shipping processes
