Description The successful candidate should have the following experience: Basic math, strong computer skills, strong organizational skills, ability to follow all plant safety requirements, ability to operate a forklift, ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure, work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, interact in a professional manner with customers, logistic personnel, and employees. Requirements Position Requirements: Be quality conscious, production oriented and able to work safely and effectively within established policies and practices. A self-starter who works independently from the backlog. Must be computer literate or have the ability to be trained to reach proficiency levels needed to print labels, check orders and inventory in Business Dynamics, communicate via email and schedule shipments via Shipping Supplier websites. Capable of operating a walk behind and rider forklift. Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for the quality of product packaged. Tubing and Pipe must be taken from master spool to customer specific lengths and packaged in a neat and professional manner. Schedule appointments for inbound & outbound shipments and maintain the Daily Shipment Log. Receive all incoming shipments and distribute them to the proper location. Ensures outgoing Bill of Lading documentation for shipments are accurate and match Order Acknowledgement and Purchase Order. Strong interpersonal and phone skills must be willing to contact customers, logistic companies and communicate directly to the appropriate personnel. Must create and print labels using the label maker templates. Ensures that their work environment is kept organized & clean. Perform additional tasks as required. independently from the backlog.
Responsibilities
The Shipping Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality of packaged products and scheduling appointments for shipments. They will also receive incoming shipments and maintain accurate documentation for outgoing shipments.
