We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Shop Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic workshop environment. As a Shop Apprentice, you will work closely with skilled professionals, learning the fundamentals of our trade while contributing to various projects and tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Welding Fundamentals Course (ITA) preferred.
  • Strong interest in learning about the trade and developing practical skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with tools is a plus but not required.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning new concepts.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of materials and tools for daily tasks.
  • Support experienced technicians in their work, observing and learning best practices.
  • Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
  • Operating band saws and pipe threading and grooving equipment.
  • Safely operating forklift, loading and unloading trucks and materials handling.
  • Materials shipping and Receiving.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge related to the trade.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure workplace.
  • Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting needs to supervisors.
