Job Details Job Location: Riverboat Discovery - Fairbanks, AK Position Type: Full Time Education Level: None Salary Range: $21.00 - $23.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Facilities Description The Maintenance Specialist works in coordination with the President, Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager and Grounds Crew staff to maintain all facilities including buildings, boats, and grounds; assist with or lead various projects including construction, fabrication, and logistical efforts; operate and maintain heavy equipment as needed; assist in the seasonal startup/shut down of all facilities including Steamboat Landing, Chena Village, and Gold Dredge 8; inventory, maintain and stock the shop area with tools and supplies; any other duties as required by the Maintenance Manager and President. Position is part mechanic, part boat engineer, part equipment operator, part carpenter, part fabricator, and part handyman. Position will be busier in the spring and summer, and more relaxed in the fall and winter. Weekends and overtime expected during season. Monday through Friday, 8 hrs/day in the off season. Wage depends on experience and has potential for increase based on performance. Starting range $18/hr - $24/hr. Qualifications Skills and qualifications are preferred, but not necessary. Willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
