The Opportunity: Reporting to the Shop Manager, the Shop Associate supports The Shop on the Branksome Hall campus through providing exceptional sales service to students, parents, alums, community members, and employees visiting the shop. Passionate about customer service, you enjoy engaging with youth and families to support them on their purchasing decisions within the shop.  This role supports shop operations by supporting student fittings, upselling and providing insights on items sold within the shop, labeling and pricing merchandise, responding to inquiries, and maintaining inventory.  The hours consist of a part-time schedule (3 days a week between 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) between October to April with additional hours during peak times which may include occasional weekends and evenings for events. The role will transition to full-time hours between May to September to support the needs of the shop, though no shifts will be scheduled in July as The Shop is closed. Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to: * Support the daily operations of the store, including any opening or closing tasks * Operate POS system including sales, returns and tracking of inventory data * Support the Shop Manager with maintaining the Shopify database with fulfilling orders, updating inventory daily, and ensuring product accuracy * Fulfill all online orders and manage inventory and stock levels * Assist with student uniform fittings and managing appointment bookings  * Assist with merchandise packaging and deliveries, stocking shelves and displays, and pricing merchandise  * Develop strong relationships with the community, which include students, families, alums and employees, through exceptional customer service * Administrative tasks including management of the invoice payment process, digitizing shop records, etc. * Personalize customer experiences and create a welcoming and inclusive environment * Track feedback and follow up with customers, recording key customer notes  * Address customer inquiries and concerns in person, on the phone, or via email inbox * Upkeep the tidiness of The Shop, ensuring health and safety protocols are maintained  Candidate Profile: * 1-3 years of experience in a retail environment with knowledge of POS systems * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Asana and Calendly is an asset  * Strong verbal and written communication skills that translate to exceptional customer service * Able to build rapport with a range of stakeholders and stay attuned to their needs * Proactive and brings an innovative lens to the role  * Able to move, lift, carry, and transport moderately heavy objects (inventory, displays, etc.) weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance * Comfortable using step stools to access higher shelving, organize inventory, or set up displays safely * Comfortable standing and walking for long periods of time Why Join Branksome Hall: Joining Branksome Hall will change your life.
