We work in a safe, positive, and engaging environment, and believe our employees are the fuel that drives our business. Alliance Steel, Inc. is seeking a Shop Coordinator to join our growing team. Qualified Shop Coordinators must be competent in reviewing drawings and ABS Shippers. They must possess the ability to communicate with multiple departments to ensure that production runs efficiently. They will need the ability to anticipate the shop needs and provide the necessary information to produce each job on time without errors. Requirements Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To: · Receive production packets from Detailing Group and Separate per department accordingly. · Confirm with production management priorities for scheduling the job order for each shop · Nest files for the plasma table and coordinate with flange plate and the punch department · Verify that all upcoming jobs have adequate stock of materials and special order materials are confirmed with vendors · Assist in tracking of production tonnage and communicate remaining tons per job with job status reports · Control drawings released to the shop and manage revisions · Verify materials that need to be ordered for jobs based on stock levels, and special order materials · Review coil materials and jobs to ensure that stock levels are adequate by complete the pre-deduction process · Level Load the shop by making adjustments to the schedule, looking ahead at heavy weeks, and collaborating with the detail group to ensure drawings will be released in order to produce ahead · Order Materials as needed · Manage a Production Schedule for all departments · Verify tonnage accuracy on shippers vs. tonnage reported as complete · Assist in Inventory Duties such as Cycle Counts and Audits · Review Reports for Job Costs · Other duties as assigned Requirements: · Knowledge of the shop and the overall process from detailing to manufacturing · Analytical thinking ability · Able to navigate through programs like AutoCAD, Excel, and other Office Applications · Precise verbal and written communication abilities via in person meetings, email, web meetings, and phone calls.

The coordinator will also manage the production schedule, track tonnage, control drawing revisions, and assist with inventory duties.
