POSITION SUMMARY
Terus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is looking for a Shop Coordinator to join our Shop in Crescent Valley, BC.
The role of the Shop Coordinator is to direct shop activities.This includes supporting the Shop Supervisor(s) and Shop Foremen (as appropriate) in maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and efficient operation at the shop. The Shop Coordinator has a primary focus on coordinating activities and scheduling of service activities among multiple mechanics. This includes updating shop scheduling (with Shop Supervisor and Foremen input), monitoring and scheduling equipment coming in and out of the shop for service, creating as necessary, updating, scanning repair notes, completing and closing repair work orders, mechanic time card entry, and reviewing and filing inspections paperwork and reports necessary to track maintenance issues and services and for compliance with NSC and other carrier requirements.
The Shop Coordinator supports the mechanics and shop operations with parts sourcing, requisitions (through Purchasing) for replacement parts, shop supplies, and consumables, inventory management, parts kitting as appropriate, and equipment logistics.
The Shop Coordinator will supervise approximately two (2) to five (5) employees.
