Description

This position will be located at the Baltimore, Maryland branch for MGX Equipment Services and reports to the Service Manager. *Candidates hired for this role will receive a $4,500 sign-on bonus, payable after 90 days continuous service; and be eligible for our Tool Reimbursement Program of up to $1,500 per calendar year ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Operate and perform thorough inspection of cranes in order to diagnose defects. * Diagnose, repair and troubleshoot various mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes; repair hydraulic and electrical components. * Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges. Reads, understands and interprets operating and parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings. * Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications. * Prepares for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness. * Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections. * Properly fills out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews and expense reports. * Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision. * Provides excellent customer service. * Other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: * High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Mechanic/Technician required. * Experience working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT & TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc EPIC and/or Traditional Cranes; National Boom Trucks preferred. * Must be able to read both electrical and hydraulic schematics. * Must have excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus. * Possession of a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record preferred. * Basic computer skills preferred. * Required to purchase full set of hand tools up to 1.5 inches. WORKING CONDITIONS: This is a full-time position with typical working hours between 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions. PAY & TRAINING: This position offers a pay range between $20.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on skills and qualifications for non-bargaining employees. Pay is provided on a bi-weekly basis and there are 14 days in the pay period, beginning on a Monday and ending on a Sunday. Responsibilities

Responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of various mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes. This includes troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic components and ensuring compliance with OEM specifications.
