Description Job Summary A Shop Cabinet Finish Carpenter is responsible for the final stages of cabinet production, ensuring all cabinetry meets quality standards before delivery or installation. This role focuses on sanding, finishing, detailing, and assembling cabinets in a workshop environment, with an emphasis on precision, consistency, and craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities: Perform final sanding, prepping, and finishing of cabinets and millwork Apply stains, paints, sealers, and protective coatings Inspect surfaces for defects and ensure a high-quality finish Assemble cabinet components, doors, drawers, and hardware Operate woodworking tools and finishing equipment safely Match colors, grains, and finishes to project specifications Repair or touch up damaged surfaces as needed Maintain a clean and organized shop workspace Follow blueprints, drawings, and production schedules Work closely with production and installation teams Requirements Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience in cabinet making, woodworking, or finish carpentry Strong knowledge of wood types, stains, and finishing techniques Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship Ability to read shop drawings and measurements accurately Physical ability to lift materials and stand for long periods Basic math and measuring skills Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in a cabinet shop or woodworking environment Experience with spray finishing systems (lacquer, conversion varnish, etc.) Familiarity with custom cabinetry or high-end millwork Understanding of shop safety standards and procedures Work Environment: Indoor workshop setting Exposure to wood dust, fumes, and noise (PPE required) Use of machinery and finishing chemicals OUR BENEFITS Health Insurance (Medical, Prescription, Dental, and Vision) Life Insurance Disability Insurance Paid Holidays and Time Off 401(k) Plan with company matching ADG is an equal opportunity employer and administers all personnel practices without regard to race, color, religious creed, sex, gender, age, ancestry, national origin, mental or physical disability or medical condition, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other category protected under federal, state, or local law.
