Description Overview Whirlwind Steel is a leading manufacturer of metal building systems, and we’re looking for a Shop Floor Associate to support daily production operations. This role works across multiple areas of the plant to help keep materials moving, assist production teams, and maintain a safe, efficient work environment. If you’re dependable, hands-on, and looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing, this is a great opportunity to get started and grow. What You’ll Do Move raw materials, parts, and finished products throughout the facility Support production teams including machine operators, welders, and fitters Assist with staging materials and preparing work areas for production Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality standards are met Maintain a clean and organized work environment (5S practices) Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures Communicate with supervisors and team members to keep operations running smoothly Cross-train in different departments to support production needs Complete additional tasks as needed to meet daily production goals Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience is a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong attention to detail and reliability Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled facility Basic math and measurement skills Overhead crane experience is a plus, but not required Pay & Benefits Weekly pay Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) 401(k)
