OVERVIEW

Ballance Containers is seeking a hands-on Shop Foreman to lead daily operations in our fabrication shop. This role is central to ensuring the right people are assigned to the right jobs, projects are completed within budgeted labor hours, and quality standards are consistently achieved. The Shop Foreman is the on-site leader who drives accountability, enforces schedules, and liaises with the Production Manager and Project Managers to align shop output with project delivery. While the core focus is on fabrication and retrofitting within the shop, the role also supports preparation for off-site installations when required.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in construction, fabrication, or a related field.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with proven experience managing trades or shop crews.
• Skilled at workforce assignment and labor tracking.
• Ability to enforce quality standards and hold teams accountable.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Experience managing both staff and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication, construction, and OHSA safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work orders.
  Job Type: Full-time
  Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 40 per week
