Job Summary: The Shop Foreman is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the service shop by coordinating workflow, supervising shop technicians, ensuring quality repairs, promoting a culture of safety, and supporting exceptional customer service. This position serves as the technical leader for the shop, working closely with the Service Manager, Service Writers, Parts Department, and technicians to maximize productivity, efficiency, and repair quality while meeting customer expectations and Company performance objectives. Key Responsibilities: * Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to shop technicians. * Promote teamwork, accountability, and professional development. * Assist with onboarding and training new technicians. * Reinforce Company policies, safety standards, and work expectations. * Provide performance feedback to the Service Manager. * Schedule and prioritize shop workflow to maximize productivity. * Monitor work in process (WIP) and repair order aging. * Ensure technicians remain productive and properly charged to repair orders. * Coordinate with Parts to minimize downtime. * Assist Service Writers in developing repair estimates. * Review repair documentation for completeness. * Maintain shop organization and housekeeping. * Promote CraneWorks' safety culture. * Conduct daily safety observations. * Ensure PPE compliance. * Enforce OSHA requirements. * Report and investigate incidents and near misses. * Ensure Lockout/Tagout procedures are followed. * Stop unsafe work immediately.
