Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to lead our talented team of carpenters in the production and assembly of trade show exhibit structures and commercial interior spaces. This hands-on leadership role requires a strong background in carpentry, a commitment to quality, and the ability to manage people and projects efficiently in a fast-paced, creative environment. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Lead and assign projects to shop team members, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and on-time delivery. Actively participate in the production process, demonstrating advanced carpentry skills and setting the standard for workmanship. Monitor and document project hours to maintain accurate records and support job costing. Manage projects within our project management platform, ensuring adherence to established processes and timelines. Maintain proper inventory of stock materials and assist in ensuring minimum levels are met. Partner with the estimating team on value engineering opportunities to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Verify accuracy of rental inventory and assist in maintaining a well-organized shop. Collaborate closely with the warehouse manager to allocate labor resources as needed. Enforce safety protocols to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Remain flexible with work hours, including weekends and overtime, as required by project deadlines. Represent the shop team in project launch, production, and quality assurance meetings. Participate in interviewing, onboarding, training, and annual performance reviews for shop staff. Qualifications: Extensive carpentry and woodworking experience with a proven record of high-quality results. Prior experience in a supervisory or foreman role within a production, fabrication, or exhibit environment. Strong computer skills and familiarity with project management software. Solid understanding of workshop safety standards and best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. A hands-on leader who inspires accountability, teamwork, and pride in craftsmanship.
