Salary Exempt Position Company: TBC Sales and Distribution, LLC   Summary of Essential Job Functions: * Promote and maintain a safe work environment for employees and the public. * Schedule and oversee inspections, preventive maintenance, and repair of commercial tractors and tank trailers. * Perform and/or supervise repairs involving belts, seals, gaskets, pumps, brakes, tires, clutches, fluids, suspensions, differentials, and power take-off systems. * Coordinate and prioritize all shop repairs while managing cost and expenditures. * Ensure fleet readiness with daily pre-trip inspections completed prior to driver start times. * Develop and manage preventative maintenance (PM) schedules to meet operational, safety, and regulatory requirements. * Maintain compliance with all FMCSA regulations for Class 8 tractors and trailers. * Communicate effectively with drivers, operations, and management regarding fleet status and repair needs. * Support conflict resolution and foster a collaborative team environment. * Complete and enforce all required safety training and procedures.   Requirements: Education & Experience * Minimum of 5 years of tractor/tailer maintenance experience preferred. * Minimum of 5 years of diesel engine experience required. * Prior supervisory or management experience preferred. Certification & Licenses * Air Brake certification required. * Electrical Diagnostic certification required. * A/C Diagnostic certification preferred. * Detroit and Cummins Diesel certifications preferred. * Cummins CNG certification preferred. * Class “A” CDL preferred. * All certifications and experience must be verifiable.   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Strong working knowledge of diesel engines and trailer systems. * Understanding FMCSA regulations and compliance requirements. * Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues effectively. * Strong organizational and scheduling skills. * Effective communication and team coordination abilities. * Dependable with strong attention to detail and safety.   Working Conditions: * Work is performed in shop, warehouse, and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions. * Requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. * Regular use of tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems. * Schedule is Monday through Friday with a start time of 5:00 AM. * May require overtime, flexible hours, and on-call availability to support a 24/7 operation.   Other Requirements: * Must pass pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screening, and background check. * Must maintain a valid Department of Transportation (FMCSA) medical certification. * Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies. * This position may require additional duties assigned based on business needs.
