Velocity Truck Rental & Leasing (VTRL) is looking for a Shop Foreman to join our team for following hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm! What You’ll Do: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to oversee the daily operations of our automotive service shop. The Shop Foreman will be responsible for managing technicians, ensuring high-quality workmanship, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a leadership role within the automotive industry, strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Job Duties: Keep advisors informed of truck progress. Ensure quality control inspections are completed successfully. Make informed warranty decisions. Determine warranty coverage accurately. Minimize repair comebacks. Assist with complex repairs and seek support from district service managers as needed. Coordinate and assign daily workload for technicians. Dispatch work assignments daily. Support technicians in meeting productivity and efficiency goals. Implement disciplinary actions when necessary. Mentor team leaders to develop leadership skills. Conduct safety meetings and trainings to ensure compliance. Ensure the shop meets all local, state, and federal safety regulations. Perform regular inspections to maintain shop safety and security. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the shop. Job Qualifications & Requirements: Prior experience as a Shop Foreman in the trucking industry preferred. Previous management or supervisory experience required. Strong leadership abilities. Demonstrated technical expertise. Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Effective collaboration with internal and external customers. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
