As a Yark Shop Foreman at one of our Dealerships you will be responsible for setting goals for personal service improvement and monitor technician progress and production numbers against customer satisfaction index numbers as provided by the Service Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Train and motivate qualified service technicians Assist technicians in developing their skills Provide support to technicians as needed Ensure that all technicians receive appropriate training Check progress of repairs orders throughout the day Review work completed to ensure it is up to quality standards Ensure all documents are processed and repairs are charged out correctly Monitor shop condition, including cleanliness and safety Addresses and resolves customer issues and complaints Understand the process of CSI scores and roll in achieving the set goals Maintain the order and cleanliness of customer cars and work areas Understand and follow workshop safety rules, as well as federal, state, and local regulations Handle all customer concerns that are brought to your attention promptly, professionally and in following with Yark policy Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner Perform other duties as assigned by management Requirements Qualifications: Automotive experience Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required Proven management skills Time management skills Effective oral and written communication skills Professional, well-groomed personal appearance Reasonable and Reliable Attendance Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree helpful Mathematics: Algebra, Geometry, Shop Math, Trigonometry Reading – read novels, tech journals, blueprints with understanding. Writing – prepare business letters, expositions, summaries and reports with proper format. Speaking – communicate in a manner understandable by all levels of education. Reasoning Development: Apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form. Ability to deal with problems involving abstract and concrete variables in standardized situations.
