Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in the propane industry. This individual will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of propane-related equipment and systems at our facility. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical maintenance, a keen understanding of safety standards, and the ability to work independently to ensure that all systems are operating efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of propane tanks, valves, regulators, and other equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to propane storage and distribution systems. Ensure all equipment is compliant with safety regulations and company standards. Assist in the installation and setup of new propane equipment and infrastructure. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with industry regulations. Conduct preventive maintenance on propane storage tanks, delivery systems, and associated hardware to ensure reliability and extend equipment lifespan. Perform regular safety checks on propane delivery trucks, refueling systems, and associated equipment. Manage and maintain records of maintenance activities, including service logs, work orders, and equipment inspections. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and work with the team to resolve issues effectively. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure minimal downtime and maximum system efficiency. Assist with inventory control, including tracking maintenance materials and parts. Requirements Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or an associate degree in maintenance, mechanical systems, or a related field is preferred. At least 2 years of experience in maintenance, preferably within the propane, gas, or energy sector. Strong knowledge of propane equipment, pipelines, and storage systems. Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to the propane industry (NFPA 58, OSHA, DOT, etc.). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual tasks as required. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. [Any other relevant certifications, such as Propane Technician Certification, DOT certifications, etc.] Working Conditions: Ability to work in varied weather conditions, including extreme temperatures. Must be available for on-call emergency maintenance and overtime as needed. Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and carrying of equipment.
