Shop Labourer Weldco Heavy Industries (WHI) is a large steel fabrication and repair facility located in the Fort McKay Caribou Energy Park. Strategically positioned in the heart of Alberta’s Oil Sands, WHI is able to effectively meet the requirements for large steel repair, assembly and refurbishment in the industry. We are looking to hire a Shop Labourer. This role will be 14-days on/14-days off, 12- hour shifts. What you will do: * Effectively communicate with team members, and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency. * Collaborate with the team to address and resolve operational challenges and technical issues. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date certifications, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements. * Uphold and promote a culture of safety, ensuring that safety protocols and guidelines are rigorously adhered to. * Complete basic equipment and tool maintenance, including basic repairs. * Ensure secure load handling for the safe transportation of equipment. * Adhere to stringent safety protocols and guidelines. * Operate equipment efficiently to meet project requirements. Your Qualifications: * Proficiency in secure load handling for transportation. * Hold a Class 5 driver's license * A strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations. * Effective communication skills. * Physical fitness and the ability to lift a maximum of 50lbs. * Willingness to work in various environments and weather conditions. * At least 1-year previous experience. * Team player Work Conditions: * Fast-paced environment * Physically demanding * Repetitive tasks * Repetitive tasks Safety Ticket Requirements: * Forklift ticket * Fall Protection * Arial Work Platform Applications for this position may be kept on file for twelve months and may be considered for future positions within WHI.
