Shop Lead Reports To: Service Foreman Job Outline: Reports to the service foreman and is responsible for the floor technical assistance for mechanics and repairs as directed by the service foreman. • Follows all policies and procedures as specified in the company manuals • Maintains high employee morale • Attains short and long-term objectives with good management/planning • Performs repairs as directed by the service foreman • Assists mechanics in solving machine and component problems • Determines parts requirements and outside materials requirements to complete repairs • Completes all paperwork necessary to perform repairs as directed • Notifies service foremen upon completion of repairs • Performs repairs as directed by the service foreman • Assists mechanics in solving machine and component problems • Determines parts requirements and outside materials requirements to complete repairs • Completes all paperwork necessary to perform repairs as directed • Notifies service foremen upon completion of repairs Job Requirements: The individual in this position should be personable, a problem solver, holding high technical skills. This individual is also able to consistently repair components and equipment in line with dealer and manufacturer standards. Education/Training/Experience: A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs. General Skill Requirements: • Strong mechanical skills • Good communications skills • Good, safe work habits Specific Skill Requirements: A good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions and strong diagnostic skills. Physical Demands: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
