We are looking for a Shop Manager for our busy St Andrews bakery shop.

WAGE: £28,615.08 PER ANNUM

We are looking for a motivated and positive team leader who puts customer service at the heart of everything they do.
Fisher & Donaldson is a family run business that is looking to increase its team of customer service team leaders to ensure our shops and cafes run smoothly, efficiently and with great customer care.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

We are looking for applications from candidates with proven supervisor or manager experience (minimum of 2 years) in a shop/café/hospitality setting. You must have excellent customer service skills; be strong at managing and motivating a team; be a good problem-solver and have clear and effective communication skills. You must be competent in cash handling and have good organisational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Manage welcoming and friendly teams.
  • Oversee the smooth running of shop.
  • Set up the shop in an aesthetically pleasing manor.
  • Provide induction training for new staff as required.
  • Modify and create work schedules for staff members including leave authorisations.
  • To contribute to staff appraisal reviews.
  • To ensure that all necessary check sheets are completed daily/weekly as required.
  • To distribute the workload fairly to the staff and ensure they have adequate tasks.
  • To motivate staff in their sales technique.
  • To learn product range.
  • To handle all products hygienically as per the procedures.
  • Ensure tools, utensils and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised.
  • To provide product updates for staff as new goods are introduced.
  • To check stock levels and order when required.
  • To report any maintenance issued on the premises.
  • Cashing up the till at the end of each day.
  • To provide daily reports on income/wastage etc.
  • To resolve customer complaints, escalating where necessary.
  • Manage profitability of the shop.
