Job Details Job Location: KS Kansas Avenue RTI - KANSAS CITY, KS Salary Range: $70000.00 - $87000.00 Job Category: Transportation Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Supervision of Technicians on assigned shift Manage shop floor assignments coordinating with Director of Maintenance. Assigns work to Technicians, making- adjustments as volume and priorities change Ensure that all Technicians on schedule are properly logged onto the time clock for start of duty, break times, lunch, departure time Ensure that all Technicians on schedule are properly logged onto the work/job they are performing Proper procedure being followed for all Safety regulations Shop cleanliness is left at agreed upon standards at end of shift Performance input to Shop Leader Responsible for effectively communicating to the drivers/customers any issue related to the tractor/trailer is more extensive than originally diagnosed Responsible for effectively communicating to the Operations on status and estimate time of completion of equipment. Also report all changes in previous estimated time of completion Responsible to be the primary point of contact if there is any dispute between Shop employees and drivers/customers Verify that Shop Equipment is utilized safely and is properly maintained Verify that completed work has been done properly Review work orders to ensure that correct information has been entered and that parts have properly been charged out Qualifications Qualifications: Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or five to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of TMW Database software; Time America Payroll systems; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Certifications for the following preferred: Qualified Inspector for Periodic Inspections, Qualified Brake Inspector, Air Conditioning Certification meeting EPA Section 609 Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
