Description Primary Objectives of the Position: 1. Performs assigned tasks to the standards established by the Service Manager. 2. Helps maintain fleet and equipment. 3. Communicates with patrons and employees in a manner that will create support and loyalty for Central United Cooperative. Major Areas of Accountability: 1. Completes all tasks in a time efficient manner. 2. Completes all tasks correctly the first time- keeps re-work to a minimum. 3. Works safely. 4. Records time accurately on all work orders. 5. Assists in resolving customer complaints quickly and fairly in accordance with company policies. Refers unusual situations to Service Manager. 6. Complies with all laws and regulations that apply to the department. 7. Attends appropriate training sessions as part of programs of continuing education. 8. Assists in DOT inspections along with truck and pickup repairs. 9. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Education Requirements: 1. Post high school training at the college or vocational level with emphasis on small engine mechanics and auto mechanics. 2. Experience may be substituted for education. Experience Requirements: 1. 3+ years hands on mechanical experience- gasoline/ diesel engine experience preferred 2. Hydraulic experience helpful. 3. General electrical experience desirable. 4. Ag background a plus.
