This position is ideal for a skilled professional with a strong mechanical background who is committed to safety and reliability. GENERAL JOB DUTIES: Overhaul and repair of crane components and accessories for Morrow Equipment Company. Responsible for loading and unloading equipment and to operate forklift as requested. Ability to learn and operate shop machinery and small electrical power tools. Responsibility for repair and service of shop equipment and machines. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical hoist and crane systems. Proper handling of equipment for transportation and storage. Knowledge of and ability to examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on equipment, and make adjustment, using hand or power tools. Ability to assemble parts lists as needed for repair of equipment. Ability and willingness to assist District Service Manager and Shop/Yard Foreman with maintenance and repair of cranes and hoists. Ability to service, repair and maintain equipment such as gearboxes, race bearings, hydraulic systems, etc. in accordance with manufacture specifications. Perform maintenance on all tools and shop equipment. Ensure all lifting equipment is in safe operating condition prior to use. Following of all Company safety rules, policies, and procedures at all times, including proper usage of Company-supplied PPE as required, including hard hats, safety glasses, body harnesses, arc flash, etc. Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner, which includes wearing of Company supplied MEC Branded shirts or FR uniforms, and proper maintenance of Company vehicles, tools, and equipment. Complying with safety regulations, standards and Company policies. Notifies the District Service Manager or, if unavailable, the Corporate Safety Director, Corporate Service Manager or Vice President of Operations of unsafe conditions and/or practices. Responsible for timely completion and submission of required paper work and reports to the Corporate office. Safeguard tools and equipment belonging to the Company. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to work at heights as required. Ability and willingness to work extra hours, including overtime and on-call availability, according to business needs.
