Pay Rate: C$28/hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with overtime as required)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering Technology (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and hydraulic schematics.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness and ability to travel offshore and internationally on short notice.
• Fluent in English with strong technical communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to complete Basic Safety Training, including underwater emergency escape and breathing apparatus use.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of relevant experience in:
• Offshore oil and gas operations.
• Hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
• Interpretation and implementation of hydraulic/mechanical drawings.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Shop Service Specialist with a background in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering Technology to join our team. This is a 1-year contract position with the potential to transition into a permanent role.
In this role, you will assemble, pressure test, refurbish, and operate subsea systems and equipment in accordance with established manufacturing and operational practices. The position is primarily workshop-based but will require occasional offshore field service assignments on rigs, platforms, and intervention vessels.
Note: NEST training will be provided locally/onsite once the candidate is cleared.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute work orders, including site acceptance testing, pre-deployment pressure testing, returned goods refurbishment, and post-mobilization activities.
• Maintain and service subsea equipment in compliance with industry standards.
• Prepare, inspect, and maintain equipment and tooling within the workshop.
• Support mobilization/demobilization and testing of subsea equipment onshore and offshore.
• Maintain hydraulic test equipment and manage spare parts inventory.
• Safely operate hand, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools, along with lifting equipment and overhead cranes.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
