SHOP & SUPPLY CHAIN COORDINATOR
The Shop & Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for ensuring efficient flow of materials, equipment, and shop resources to support maintenance, fabrication, and agricultural operations for both in-shop and over-the-road fleet work. This role serves as the primary link between the shop team, vendors, and inventory systems, focusing on timely parts procurement, cost control, organized work staging, and asset readiness.
Key responsibilities include:
Parts Ordering & Procurement: Manage Parts request forms and order required parts for diesel, fabrication, agricultural and body shops while ensuring competitive pricing through vendor negotiation.
Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong working relationships with multiple suppliers, continually seeking best prices and lead time advantages.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory of parts, tools, consumables, and shop equipment.
Asset Management: Track and maintain shop equipment, ensuring tools and
machines are serviced, calibrated, and available when needed.
Shop & Lot Organization: Ensure work areas are clean, and yard is organized for efficient equipment movement and safety.
Fleet Appearance Oversight: Monitor cleanliness and presentation of company
over-the-road trucks.
Parts Running: Travel required to get parts and materials from vendors to the associated shop.
Work Staging: Prepare and stage materials, tools, and equipment for upcoming jobs to minimize downtime.
