Description JOB SUMMARY The responsibilities of a Shop Technician are to conduct repair and maintenance work for equipment that are in the shop. This position operates equipment and assists the department in preparing equipment records, performing safety inspections, and adhering to safety procedures. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for following safety regulations and protocols Perform preventative maintenance and minor and major trouble shooting. Assist level 2 techs to train. Recon and sold units also rental units. Follow work schedule. Make sure any follow-up repairs need approval from management. Make sure the work area is clean and organized. PDI inspections Repairs and order parts as well as gets ETA on parts arrivals. Training Level 1 techs Perform major overhaul on engines and transmissions. Diesel and LPG trouble shooting skill. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent verbal/ written communication and presentation skills. Strong analytical skills Hydraulic experience Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure. Ability to trouble shoot electrical problems. Ability to muti task on jobs Trouble shoot electrical and LPG. Knowing how to read schematics and wire diagrams. Perform head gasket on any LPG unit. Good time management and problem-solving skills EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED 5-to-10-year forklift Mechanical experience preferred Forklift Experience is a preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn, climb stairs and on trucks. Vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing approximately 50 lbs. Ability to function in a work environment with moderate noise level from several sources creating constant activity. M - F 7 am to 4 pm
