Job Description Operate and maintain woodworking machinery Interpret and execute work from technical drawings, cut sheets, and production plans Ensure accurate cutting, sizing, and quality control of wood components Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure safety protocols are followed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace Collaborate with the production team to meet timelines and quality standards Support other shop operations as needed Qualifications Qualifications The ideal candidate for this Shop Technician role would likely possess the following qualifications: Experience: Minimum 1 years of cabinetry, millwork, or carpentry experience Machinery Knowledge: Proficiency with woodworking machines such as beam saw, edge banders and hand/power tools Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cut sheets Maintenance: Familiarity with daily maintenance and troubleshooting of woodworking equipment Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform tasks involving standing, kneeling, crouching, and climbing Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, math skills and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn internal systems Asset: Forklift Certification Additional Information Compensation & Benefits Full-time, Monday through Friday Shift 10:00 am – 6:30 pm Hourly pay with occasional overtime opportunities Paid vacation, holidays, and sick days Benefits after 3 months: Dental, health spending account and extended health care Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour What we provide: At California Closets, we invest in our employees and offer: Schedule: Consistent set schedule with the ability to pick up extra hours during busy periods Training and Development: Extensive new hire training and on-going skills training Competitive Pay: Competitive hourly wage and occasional overtime Tools and PPE: All required tools, uniforms and safety PPE provided Employee Perks: Employee discount program Why Join Us?
