SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Shop Technician to join our team at Drive Products in Mississauga. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and functionality of our truck-mounted equipment systems, install and service truck-mounted equipment, including PTO’s, pumps, valves, and various other hydraulic components. And contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional TME solutions.

Experience:

  • Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (required)
  • Welding: 1 year (preferred)
  • hydraulic : 1 year (required)
  • Automotive diagnostics: 1 year (required
Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of truck-mounted equipment using specialized tools such as ohmmeters.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on TME systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Assist in the installation of new TME systems as required.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols during all operations.
  • Provide technical support to customers when necessary.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements related to TME.
  • Qualifications
  • Experience as a technician/mechanic/welder preferred (compensated for greater experience)
  • Proven experience as a Shop Technician or similar role in the TME industry.
  • Proficient in using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations related to equipment handling is preferred.
  • Hydraulic system knowledge is an asset
  • Will be required to have your own tools
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
