About the Role We’re looking for a Shopify & Marketing Technology Manager to help us optimize every click, every funnel, and every customer experience on our eCommerce site. This role combines Shopify optimization, CRO, marketing technology management, and customer data strategy. You’ll improve our online performance, refine the tools that power our marketing engine, and help build the data and automation foundation that allows us to market more intelligently over time. A key part of this role will be helping us harness the power of AI across both customer-facing funnels and internal marketing operations. That includes identifying opportunities to use AI to improve segmentation, personalization, reporting, workflow efficiency, testing, and decision-making. You’ll also play an important role in helping us build a more comprehensive, connected customer database that can power stronger marketing automation, lifecycle marketing, and optimization across channels. You’ll wear multiple hats — part marketer, part analyst, part systems builder, part problem-solver — and play a key role in bringing our mission to life through smarter, faster, more connected systems. Responsibilities What You’ll Do Website Optimization & CRO Plan and execute A/B and split tests to improve conversion rates and user experience. Build, optimize, and test Shopify pages and landing experiences for campaigns and product launches. Continuously refine site speed, design flow, mobile experience, and checkout performance. Identify friction points across the customer journey and improve them through testing, personalization, and better site architecture. Marketing Technology Management Own and optimize our full MarTech stack: Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, Meta & Google Ads integrations, SMS tools, tracking pixels, and related platforms. Ensure clean data flow, accurate tracking, and reliable attribution across the funnel. Evaluate, implement, and manage new technologies that improve marketing efficiency and customer experience. Help architect the systems and integrations needed to create a stronger, more unified view of the customer across channels and touchpoints. Customer Data & Automation Infrastructure Help build and maintain a comprehensive customer database that brings together behavioral, transactional, and campaign data. Improve how customer data is captured, structured, synced, and activated across Shopify, CRM/email platforms, paid media, and reporting tools. Partner with the marketing team to use customer data for better segmentation, lifecycle marketing, retention, personalization, and funnel optimization. Support the development of scalable marketing automation systems that improve relevance, efficiency, and performance over time. AI Enablement & Process Optimization Identify opportunities to use AI within our customer data, funnels, and marketing systems to drive smarter decision-making and better performance. Help the marketing organization adopt AI informed workflows that improve speed, efficiency, and output quality across reporting, testing, campaign setup, data analysis, and operational processes. Explore and implement practical AI tools or processes that enhance automation, reduce manual work, and help the team operate more effectively. Partner with leadership to think strategically about how AI can strengthen our marketing infrastructure and competitive advantage over time. Analytics & Insights Turn data into insights that drive growth — from conversion reporting to funnel analysis and attribution insights. Monitor performance across the website, customer journey, and marketing systems to identify opportunities for improvement. Report key findings, trends, and actionable recommendations to leadership. Help create a stronger measurement foundation for ongoing testing, automation, and optimization. Collaboration Partner closely with marketing, creative, and operations teams to bring campaigns and product launches to life. Be the go-to person for marketing technology, troubleshooting, systems thinking, and optimization. Help the broader marketing team build processes that are more scalable, connected, and AI-ready. Qualifications What We’re Looking For 3–5+ years of experience in Shopify site management, CRO, marketing technology, and/or eCommerce operations. Strong working knowledge of Shopify (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and third-party app integrations. Skilled in Google Analytics (GA4), Tag Manager, SEO, and testing tools (VWO, Mida, etc.). Experience with Klaviyo, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and related marketing platforms. Experience working with customer data, marketing automation systems, and cross- platform integrations. Strong interest in and practical understanding of how AI can improve marketing performance, workflows, and operations. A data-driven mindset with the ability to translate numbers into meaningful action. Excellent communication and collaboration skills — you thrive in a cross-functional environment. Nice-to-Have Experience with Shopify Plus, API integrations, or headless builds. Familiarity with heatmapping tools (Hotjar, Clarity). Background in email/SMS automation, customer segmentation, or Zapier/workflow automation. Experience with CDPs, data warehousing, or building more unified customer data environments. Understanding of UX/UI design and customer journey optimization. Familiarity with AI tools for marketing analysis, workflow automation, content operations, or process design.
