Description Position Overview The Short Order Cook plays a key role in delivering high-quality, consistent dining experience for our members and guests. This position is responsible for preparing made-to-order food efficiently while upholding the Club’s standards of hospitality, presentation, and culinary excellence. As a member-focused club, our culinary team is an extension of the overall member experience — professionalism, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential. Essential Responsibilities · Prepare and execute made-to-order menu items in a timely and consistent manner · Operate flat top, fryer, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently · Ensure all food meets Club standards for quality, temperature, and presentation · Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times · Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines · Communicate clearly with Grill Room staff to ensure accurate and timely service · Prep work, stocking, and daily mise en place · Monitor inventory levels and report to management · Support special events, tournaments, and high-volume service periods as needed Expectations · Demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude · Maintain professionalism in a private club environment · Understand that consistency and hospitality are central to success · Contribute to a welcoming and polished dining atmosphere Requirements · Prior experience as a cook or line cook · Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment · Strong knowledge of cooking techniques · Manage, rotate, and organize inventory according to First-In, First-Out (FIFO) standards · Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs · Schedule including mornings, weekends, and holidays · Servsafe Certification · TIPS Certification
