The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of Short Term Mine Planning Engineer | Μηχανικός Βραχυπρόθεσμου Σχεδιασμού Μεταλλείου for its premises in Chalkidiki. The position will report to the Senior Shift Engineer Execution Planning of the Underground Production department, based in Olympias. Main Responsibilities: Develop weekly tactical plans, communicate mine schedules and plans to all stakeholders, and ensure their execution. Liaise with geology, mine operations, mine maintenance, mine electricians, and other technical services groups to achieve the tactical plan targets. Update and maintain the 3D CAD model of weekly plans, designs, and service requirements. Develop detailed short-term layouts, including the required infrastructure based on mid-term plans. Create detailed, activity-based weekly plans for issuance to dispatch operations. Ensure daily and shift planning align with the weekly plan and that support activities are scheduled accordingly. Develop and maintain a database for key services, including water management and electrical distribution systems. Maintain the weekly action log, follow up on outstanding actions, and integrate them into the weekly plans. Optimize production through mine designs and production scheduling. Reconcile plan compliance and stope performance. Analyze performance and identify bottlenecks. Provide operational and technical support through the development, design, and implementation of mine plans and schedules. Identify new or alternative ideas and concepts to improve business performance. Undertake ad-hoc projects as required by the senior mine operations team. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field. A postgraduate degree would be considered an asset. At least 2–3 years’ experience in the Mining Industry. Professional Engineer registration. General knowledge of mine planning packages. Proficient computer knowledge of Microsoft, Deswik and Autodesk. Excellent command of English and Greek (both verbal & written). Open to potential future availability for shift work. Strong commitment to safe practices.
