Job Opportunity: Short Term Planner – Minors
Location: Osborne Park, WA (8/6 Local roster)
Reports to: Regional Hub Lead
Are you a proactive maintenance planner with a passion for maximizing fleet availability? Emeco is seeking a Short Term Planner – Minors to lead maintenance scheduling and support equipment reliability across multiple mining sites. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a rolling 3-week short-term maintenance plan.
  • Schedule preventative, statutory, and defect-related maintenance tasks.
  • Align planning with labour capacity, tooling, and part availability.
  • Coordinate breakdown responses and adjust plans to minimize downtime.
  • Lead weekly and daily maintenance planning meetings with site stakeholders.
  • Monitor completion of plans using Emeco Operating System (EOS) reports.
  • Close out work orders in AMT (CMMS) and ensure data accuracy.

What We’re Looking For

  • Trade qualification (preferably in HME); planning/management degree is a bonus. Otherwise - Experience in this field of work.
  • Experience with CAT, Hitachi, and Komatsu equipment in a mining environment.
  • Strong planning and scheduling background using CMMS tools (especially AMT).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance reporting systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Sound knowledge of mining operations and equipment reliability drivers.
