Description

The Fellow will play a crucial role in the shoulder/elbow team, having access to elective & trauma theatre sessions and outpatient clinics. This will involve complex acute shoulder and elbow trauma and elective conditions. A key element of the role will be liaising with other specialties, such as plastic surgery & microbiology, in the day to day management of the more complex multiply injured trauma cases. This job is suitable for a post-FRCS (Orth) or post-CCT trainee who is looking for experience in the field of shoulder and elbow surgery and is committed to a career in this field.
Previous experience in this field is desirable but not essential. . Good communication skills are essential, as this post involves liaising with multidisciplinary teams. The fellow will be responsible for the day to day administration of the team clinical inpatient load.
This will involve pre-operative planning and post-operative care in conjunction with the consultant. There are no on-call commitments for this post
