Franklyn, Queensland’s largest manufacturer of blinds, awnings and security screens, require the services of an enthusiastic showroom consultant to join our Helensvale Showroom.
The opportunity is for a Permanent Part Time Consultant (32-38 hours per week), working a rotating roster (including some Saturdays and Sundays) at our Helensvale Showroom. The role involves sales as well as maintaining the showroom, answering phones & emails, cleaning and of course customer service.
Franklyn is Brisbane’s leading manufacturer of Blinds Awnings and Security. As a locally owned and operated business, we have successfully assisted the people of Brisbane with their window furnishing needs for over 38 years. Franklyn is a trusted household brand and continues to grow, now with 7 showrooms across South East Queensland.
Full training will be provided however a background in retail sales and an interest in interior decorating would be an advantage.
Showroom Consultants are remunerated with monthly commissions paid on showroom sales, in addition to the base wage.

To be successful in this role you will need the following attributes:

• You must be self-driven, with a proven track record to achieve success in sales- preferably in the window furnishings industry.
• You have a genuine interest in people, understanding their needs, making recommendations and exceeding expectations in their purchasing experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, good listener and a persuasive sales closer.
• You are a mature, well presented individual and take pride in your personal appearance.
• You are available to work a rotating roster, including one weekend on, one weekend Saturday only and one weekend off within a three week rotation.
• You have excellent time management and administrative skills, and are computer literate.
• You work well as part of a team.
• You have a flair for interior design.
• Interest in learning about new products and ability to maintain knowledge.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $29.93 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 34 per week

Experience:

• Retail sales: 2 years (Required)
• Customer service: 3 years (Required)
• Interior design: 1 year (Preferred)
